House Shopping...

On a side note, Zim and I decided to take a time out from work/packing to have a quick glance at the potential housing.

Seems like the pigs also want a say in this...

After about half hour, we kinda gave up and decided that we would just dedicate the first few days to shop for our apartment (Afterall, nothing beats being there physically and seeing it for ourselves!). Hee, it took our 8 viewings before we settled for our current home, so, I'm just wondering how many it's gonna take this time round...hm...

I can't wait!!

Interlude....

Well, a group of us pulled a prank on a friend and made a video to ease his 'piss-ness'. So, while we were busy filming, Ah Ping got bored and decided to participate as well..

Isn't he such a darling.... LOL...

DJ Pigs

Our new toy - DJ HERO!

Well, I'm not a 101% gamer but this is one hell of a tough game! It's truly a test of your hand-eye co-ordination! I can excel in Medium mode of Guitar Hero quite effortlessly. But for this game, I can't even get pass the easy mode! OMG... Nonetheless, this game is definitely a blast and I really take my hat off to any DJs out there!

The pigs are definitely better gamers than me! Afterall, two brains or rather, four hands are better than two!

Well, since I am going to be jobless pretty soon, seems like I've found myself some stuff to keep me and the two little pigs entertained!

Happy~

Fresh From NYC...

Zim finally came home after a looong 19 days. I decided to give him a small surprise by picking him up at the airport. It was quite a thrilling experience! Lucky me (but not so lucky him), his flight got delayed and instead of arriving at 7am (which means i probably had to wake up at 5am 0_O), his arrival time was changed to 9am! Thus, I was able to wake up as per my usual working day.

When his flight finally landed, I stood around anxiously, trying to hide myself at a distance away, behind the pillar (so that he will not see me!), while making sure that I did not miss him. Silly Zim sent me a couple of misleading smses saying things like "Just landed" 20 minutes after the flight actually landed and "Just geting my luggage" when there was not a single soul at the baggage claim! It got me confused and panicky. I was so worried that I might be at the wrong place. After a long 40 minutes wait (from the time the plane touched down), out came Zim! phew~ at least it means that I did not miss him!!!!

hee, anyway, I'm really thankful that he is finally back at my side. Now I can resume back to the lazy KeY and rely on Zim to run my errands!

Anyway, lovely Zim bought me and my two little pigs some stuff..

First stop... a little gift for the two little pigs!

A little cup for each of the little pig!

Second stop... a surprise from Zim.
Zim chose this because he knew that Green is my new black! It's really nice! (Though I've to admit that it doesn't look that good in photo!) Love it though!!

Last but not least... a special request from me (well, ah ping conveyed it for me in facebook!) Kinda hinted to Zim that I wanted something from the T&C shop at 5th Avenue and the silly boy got me this really sweet pendant.

Hee... KeY and the two little pigs really love what they got from NYC!

Zim is da best~

Zim's presents to me!

Well, as mentioned earlier, it wasn't all that bad spending my bdae without Zim. The best part of it all, was that I was able to extort tons of presents from Zim. Hee, we agreed (or rather, he reluctantly agreed) that he was supposed to buy me one present per day that he spent away from me. So, since he was going to be away for 7 days, he has to get me 7 presents! (well, sorta..) Wahahahah...

Extortion 1 - Longchamp bag!

It's funny how fickled-minded women are. I recall being scornful and sacrastic about others who would pay so much for just a polyester bag. Here I am, a new owner of one. =P Ironic isn't it? For present number 1, I got Zim to get this bag for me from Orchard Ion (prob one of the few things that we can still afford to buy!) and it ranks as my 2nd most expensive bag! (After ping pong crumpler!)

Extortion 2 - Crumpler Passport holder!

This flew in from Germany and was one of my special request. Well, though it isn't the exact colour I wanted, it is still gorgeous! One more to my crumpler collection! YEAH~

Extortion 3 - Yet another crumpler wallet

This wasn't on my wish list as it was too expensive, but Zim liked it and got it anyway! Hee... another additional! This is really cool! The exterior is leather (thus, the high cost!) and the rims are orange in colour! So pretty!

Extortion 4 - Flowers.

This was the tough one. I told Zim I wanted flowers explicitly. Very Thick skinned indeed. (Some hiccups along the way, but still the surprise got delivered!)Hee, I guess I forgot to mention that I don't really like roses. But still, it's a really sweet present! Zim is the best! Pity the flowers went into the bin shortly after. Now I remembered why I used to think that flowers are a complete waste of money. While I still agree, I have to admit that receiving it once in a while is still quite heart warming. =P

Extortion 5 - Birthday Card?

This came from Germany too! 2 years ago when we visit Zurich, I bought a card from this particular creator and really loved it. Thus, Zim got this card from the same creator, just for me! =D Hee, it's a really mushy card and the best part of it was that the words are in Deutsch. Though my german is really rusty now, I figured a couple out. (well, zim translated the rest) Hee.. so go figure out.

Extortion 6,7 - Shopping Sprees!

Hee.. well, kinda ran out ideas of what else I wanted and since i managed to extort the camera from my parents instead (Lucky Zim..), I decided that Zim was to sponsor me for a shopping trip as my last 2 presents. Thus,  I bought myself 2 Origins products and 2 tops from Dorothy Perkins!

All in all, everyone's happy! Including Zim (well, somewhat la) and my two little pigs. Ah Ping got a huge ang bao from us as his pressie and a week without being scolded by Zim! (He seems really happy!) And of course a new additional to the family - Poodle!

Happy family~

Home Alone..

Zim's off for a work trip in Germany for a week. =( The first official trip without me since our wedding. Well, I definitely would have gone along if I have sufficient leave. Sigh, I wanna be a taitai! *Grumbles*

Anyway, I initially played with the thoughts of staying alone at home, but gave that idea up shortly after a lizard invaded our sty (Hm, that was two weeks ago..Zim insisted that he chased it.). After the lizard scare, I concluded that maybe it would be better for me to just move back with my mom for the week. Settled, and so I thought.

I changed my mind last week yet again after considering how troublesome it will be for me to bring all my toiletries and clothes back. Being the pampered key, I insisted that my mom move in with me instead. Settled again? I don't think so...

Still, I changed my mind once again and decided that I did not want my mom to move in with me either and decided to give being home alone one more attempt since the lizard scare has since died off!(well, women have the privilege to be fickle minded!)

Of course, mom wasn't too keen to hear that and blew her top at me. Thank god I managed to get Zim before he flew off to convince her a bit and with my stubborn self, there wasn't any room for any negotiation.

I don't deny that I'm somewhat scared of staying alone. But I believe that I need to start somewhere. I can't possibly rely on my mom or Zim forever and having the courage to stay alone is a good start. I need to be more independent and brave.

I can do it! So I guess it's home alone for Key and her two little pigs.

Wish me luck!

Poor Piglet...

Thank god I am not a fan of Pooh and that I do not have a single Pooh toy at home.
Phew~ At least Ping and Pong are safe here.

RE 5...

We are such a geekish couple. (Nope, I didn't mean looks, erm, but again, it's 50% true. *Glances at Zim*) We are recently HOOKED onto Resident Evil 5 on PS3! It's like, both of us will come home, work on our laptops for a couple of hours and then start playing till past midnight! (And the next day is a working day!)

The addiction got so bad that for the first couple of days after we begun playing, ALL our conversations surrounded RE5. For example, when we left for work, Zim will be discussing a particular stage in the game. When we met after work, Zim will be discussing the strategy to get around the same stage. In his free time, he would even look up on the FAQs and walkthrough! (erm, alright, I'm also guilty too. Hee, just wanted to check out what ammo to use la.)

I'm amazed that I can actually continue playing the game for a few hours back to back without feeling dizzy. (The playing style is "over the shoulder".) I am also proud to say, I think I'm pretty decent as a shooter, ho ho ho. Quite a sharp shooter indeed. My weakness, I can't read maps for nuts. So I'll just follow Zim's character around (He is Chris and I'm Sheva, no surprises of course.) and cover our backs.

One thing I really like about this game is the Gore and violence! Above that, it doesn't scare the shit out of the player! (Maybe once in a while.) LOL, since I've always loved zombie-theme games and movies, it really rocks to be able to indulge in one and be the slayer for once. The game did scare a couple of times. (Well, tho the one time I really jumped was because Zim screamed when his character got bitten by a snake, and not because of the story line or game play. -_-" Duh~)

Ah ping's really scared of the zombies. (He always hide under the pillow when we play this. Scariedy pig~) On the contrary, Ah Pong's a million times braver. (He's like our 3rd eye, pointing out where some of the bad guys are camping!)

Enjoyment aside, I am so sleep deprived right now thanks to the addiction! (I need rehab!) On the bright side, at least we are 5/6 into the game! Almost there...

Yummy Home Cooked Food...

Na~this is a proof that we do use our kitchen hor~Our very own home cooked meal!
Yummy baked pasta, Ikea meatballs (we bought it frozen and used our brilliant oven to cook them), minestone soup from Cambell and of course, what is a meal without a bottle of wine! Hee, nice cosy dinner with Zim and my two little pigs...

However, Ah Ping is obviously more interested in the wine..
Down to earth Ah Pong seemed to have a preference for the meatballs instead. (Erm, maybe I should tell him that there's pork in that..)

I really wished that we have 4 days week, instead of 5.. at least that would give me more time to nua at home and enjoy the wonders of the kitchen and godsend oven.. Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait a couple more months before our next home cooked meal...

My New Crumpler!

I have a crumpler addiction... so when I popped by the Crumpler shop in NYC, I couldn't resist the temptation of adding another bag to my Crumpler collection! (4 items and counting...) So I "emotionally blackmailed" Zim to pay for my new bag (well, after all, he did leave me in NYC for two days..). The interesting part was, I got to customize my very own crumpler bag! Finally, after 2 looong weeks of anticipation (It takes 1 week for them to stitch the design and 1 week to mail it over), it has arrived!!!!!!

Love it! Love it! Love it! My very own Ping & Pong Crumpler bag!!!! The only pity is that the colour isn't as nice real life as it appears in the picture, but nonetheless, I'm completely mad about it!!!

Happy~

H1N1..

Ping seemed a bit traumatized after reading this.

Poor baby.. Hope he gets over it...

Anyway, this whole thing feels like SARS all over again! I'm not exactly sure if the govt is over-reacting (esp since there is NOT a single infected case in S'pore), but I guess prevention is always better than cure. At least it isn't affecting me much. Thank god the recent US trip ended right before the saga begun, else I'm pretty sure I won't be able to set foot in US at all or we might just be quarantine for 7 more days. Phew~

On a brighter note, Zim and I don't seemed to be down with flu. =D

Happy House Warming Gift...

Finally had our first official house warming! Zim and I finally decided to invite the basketballers to our sty after 2 months. (Guess it's about time we had our annual gathering anyway.) It was really nice to have all of them over! Best of all, we received one great Housewarming gift!

Yes! It's "Guitar Hero World Tour" for our PS3! Fantastic game, though I kinda pity my neighbours after we got hooked on this. =P

Superb game! (Though I don't know most of the songs. =P)
Guess it was so good that even the little pigs wanna try!
Seems like Ah Ping got a little bit too ambitious and decided to try out the drums. I must admit, drums are significantly harder! Definitely require more coordination! Hm, guess for now, Zim will be the drummer while I remain the guitarist. As for the pigs, maybe they can try singing... ^_^

Ah Ping's New Friend!

Don't they just look so sweet?

Happie Pigs..

While KeY got badly hit by Lunar New Year, thanks to her 'improved' status, the pigs got it real good.

Guess Auntie Loo really misses them since we moved out. They bloody got $12 each from her this year! A 500% increase from last year. (the poor pigs usually only get 2 bucks.)

oh well, good for them...

Our Wedding - The making of the invites...

Let me introduce to you the factory line in charge of making Zim & KeY's Wedding Invites... *drum rolls*

Raw Materials were handpicked at several shops and purchased personally by Master KeY over a course of 1 month. After placing the raw materials in the storage space for a couple of months while the masters experimented with different prototypes, the masters finally decided on THE design (with approval from international credentials) after numerous attempts. The raw materials had been delivered to the factory the day before!

Factory line begins with Master Zim, who is responsible for cutting the strips of words with precision and accuracy. (With the help of a slicer of course!) Master Zim, who is young for his age, can actually cut 16 strips in just 10 minutes! (Wooooow~) A true master indeed.. shi fu~

Once the strips are nicely sliced, QC is done by Master Pong, who quickly glances through the stripes, eliminating failed samples. Small as he seems, Master Pong has the sharpest eyes of his traits and can identify the smallest tear/cut with his power glance. A highly sought after master of his kind. (Each failed strip = 5 cents off Zim's pay)

Affer QC is done, Master KeY then proceeds to painstakingly glue each strip to the base of the cards. Master KeY, aka sticky hands, can stick 1 strip in just 30 seconds, a whooping 10 seconds faster than her peers! The downside unfortunately, is that Master KeY suffers from finger-cramps due to the squeezing of the glue tube and has to take rests quite frequently~ =P

Last in the line, is Master Ping, aka Counter Ping. Despite his tiny size (in contrast to the cards!) Master Ping can count up to 100 in just 20 seconds! Master Ping is best known for his silent counting - Doing all this counting just with his little paws and little brain!! You won't even realise he is there! Definitely a silent killer~

Definitely a gathering of Masters of the Masters!

FYI - the cards are just 40% done.. The masters got kinda tired and called it a day.. Till next weekend la~

LA Ink...

Been watching LA Ink every night for the past few nights.. Found it quite addictive and interesting actually..

Just a little background...
LA Ink is a reality show that shows the events of a tattoo studio in LA called "High Voltage tattoo". It's actually a spin-off from the original series, "Miami Ink". While I haven't caught much episodes of Miami Ink, I prefer LA Ink as most of the tattoo artists are female, pretty cool huh? The shop is owned by Kat Von (above) and managed by artists Corey Miller, Hannah Aitchison, Kim Saigh, and Kat's best friend Pixie.

What i liked about the show is that it gives me a different insight as to why people want tattoos. While many foolish teenages in Singapore go for it for really silly reasons, customers in the show get tattoos because of personal reasons that can be quite touching at times. There were a couple of customers who tattooed the portrait of deceased next-of-kin as a way of remembering them. (One was a Dad who tattooed the picture of his 3 year old daughter who passed away.. =( ). Sad, but sweet...

Makes me wonder... if ah ping or ah pong disappears one fine day, maybe i can get their pictures tattooed somewhere to remember them forever.... (well, Zim gave me a disgusted look when i mentioned this.. guess I can pretty much gauge the amount of support I am going to get from him.. =P)..

Just a penny of my thought lah....

Want some dessert?

Macaroons anyone?

Nope.. I did not bake them (unfortunately...) but they rock!

yummilicious.. =P
