Leverage..

My Latest Craze! (Zim's with me on this!)

"Leverage follows a Los Angeles-based team of thieves, computer experts and con artists, headed up by former insurance investigator Nate Ford, who use their skills to right corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on common citizens."

Let's put it this way - they are the Modern Day Robin Hood, doing justice to the weak and bullied!

It's a great show! (Airing on AXN, Mondays, 9pm) I love the fact that it's a one-episode-one-story kinda series. I REALLY don't have the patience to wait a week for the continuation or to go online to stream. (That's why I gave up on Heroes after Episode 5.) The main attraction is that the story line is refreshing, the act is cool and the cast is HOT! (Not the typical "HOT", but they make their characters so so so so charming!)

I'm excited to see what else can the producers come up with!!! Something to keep me tuned in on Monday nights!!!

Poor Piglet...

Thank god I am not a fan of Pooh and that I do not have a single Pooh toy at home.
Phew~ At least Ping and Pong are safe here.

Married Life...

I was just speaking to a colleague at work a couple of days ago. He was just commenting how difficult it really is to maintain a marriage - all the adapting to each other's living habits, all the financial issues (rather, cost of having a family) and all the sacrificed freedom. He was sharing with me some issues his married friends were facing. The funny thing is, the issues do sound rather familiar. (Nope, we ain't facing them, well, not now at least, but more of stories that I've heard before from other couples.) Things like, couples quarreling over how to squeeze the toothpaste out of the tube or husband leaving groceries around the house instead of packing it in immediately.

Well, the truth is, there are definitely issues that Zim and myself don't see head to head to. It's just a matter of how we solve them. (Geesh, don't I just sound like a guru..) I think one strong advantage that we have is that our quarrels don't last. We don't really resolve them (most of the time, I don't really want to talk about it.), it's just that we don't stay angry with each other long. It's easier because we have two little pigs that work wonders as mediators! Tho they do sometimes get some physical injuries in their attempt to do so.. (erm, yeah, like being thrown onto the floor.) Other than that, the magic words "I'm sorry" will do just fine!

Of course, there are certain things I can't stand about Zim (His toilet for instance! I've since learnt to abstain from entering) and of course he probby feels the same. (One of my weird habits is, I like to clean the house during wee hours of the night! LOL). Guess we just grew to live with it and eventually, it has sort of became part of our lives. It takes time and usually will work out one la. =P

My conclusion is, while maintaining a marriage isn't easy, it's not as hard as it seems and it's definitely worth a try. =)

RE 5...

We are such a geekish couple. (Nope, I didn't mean looks, erm, but again, it's 50% true. *Glances at Zim*) We are recently HOOKED onto Resident Evil 5 on PS3! It's like, both of us will come home, work on our laptops for a couple of hours and then start playing till past midnight! (And the next day is a working day!)

The addiction got so bad that for the first couple of days after we begun playing, ALL our conversations surrounded RE5. For example, when we left for work, Zim will be discussing a particular stage in the game. When we met after work, Zim will be discussing the strategy to get around the same stage. In his free time, he would even look up on the FAQs and walkthrough! (erm, alright, I'm also guilty too. Hee, just wanted to check out what ammo to use la.)

I'm amazed that I can actually continue playing the game for a few hours back to back without feeling dizzy. (The playing style is "over the shoulder".) I am also proud to say, I think I'm pretty decent as a shooter, ho ho ho. Quite a sharp shooter indeed. My weakness, I can't read maps for nuts. So I'll just follow Zim's character around (He is Chris and I'm Sheva, no surprises of course.) and cover our backs.

One thing I really like about this game is the Gore and violence! Above that, it doesn't scare the shit out of the player! (Maybe once in a while.) LOL, since I've always loved zombie-theme games and movies, it really rocks to be able to indulge in one and be the slayer for once. The game did scare a couple of times. (Well, tho the one time I really jumped was because Zim screamed when his character got bitten by a snake, and not because of the story line or game play. -_-" Duh~)

Ah ping's really scared of the zombies. (He always hide under the pillow when we play this. Scariedy pig~) On the contrary, Ah Pong's a million times braver. (He's like our 3rd eye, pointing out where some of the bad guys are camping!)

Enjoyment aside, I am so sleep deprived right now thanks to the addiction! (I need rehab!) On the bright side, at least we are 5/6 into the game! Almost there...
